UGH!

As long as teachers continue to bear this burden without complaint and action, the Board and District will be happy to let them. Come on people, do you think that Mitch or the Board care a bit if you want to make a martyr out of yourself? We are giving this district the rope to hang us with. Heck, we're buying the rope, tying the knot and slipping it over our necks!

who was on the board that approved the new school with no road? who was in the district office at the time? Steele, Stranger, Watson, Jessup? The current board got this problem from the old board and the old DO Staff. what a mess.

The post which blames Stranger and Watson conveniently overlooks the fact that Sue and Patty have been on the board throughout all of this. The "new" DO staff is hardly blameless in the latest go-around. But Hey, let's do the Yucaipa thing and blame those who are already gone!

We so often forget that Patty Ingram (aka Patty Moore, aka Patty Leja) and Sue brown were on the board when this school was approved.

Dr. Hovey, Mr. Alejandre and the current board have had many years to figure out how to fix this huge WHOOPS!

If we really want to rattle the Board's cage, we should move toward a strike during the last two weeks of school. The effect at the high school would be dramatic, to say the least! Imagine, no finals, no teachers at graduation. One of our Board members even has a senior who might miss his graduation. If we drag our feet and strike early next year, we will have given up a real opportunity to get the whole community involved. I've been patient for nearly two years - ENOUGH! Continued delay only suits the Board's purpose.

Thanks for the update - I could not recall if Brown and Moore were on the School Board when the new school in Calimesa was pproved. Thanks for the information.

Rumor has it that a strike authorization vote is scheduled for May 15

Over 400 teachers showed up to support the bargaining team in Jurupa earlier this week. The Jurupa District has since sweetened their offer - not good enough yet, but closer. Our board simply continues to show its contempt for parents, students and teachers with its refusal to move its offer for almost a year, and its desperate clinging to mathematical fantasies. Time to throw the bums out!
