Will he have resolved the legitimate concerns the City of Calimesa has and get Mesa View open or will Mesa View remain a ghost school?
Will he have attracted a new generation of high quality teachers to the district or will the district continue to struggle to attract new teachers with the lowest salaries in the Inland Empire?
Will he have the loyalty and respect of the administrators, teachers and classified staff working under him or will they be celebrating his departure?
We'll just have to wait and see.

I'd love to read his resume', to see what he says about his time in Yucaipa. Seems that a lot of DO administrators are unsuccessfully looking for positions elsewhere (can you hear me, Dr. Kendrick?). Best of luck to all of them...
I would like to personally write a glowing letter of recommendation for any member of the board, or the district administration. The sooner these people find alternate employment, the better off the students and teachers of Yucaipa will be.
I volunteer to write them all resumes for monster.com
The best employers anyone can hope for!
I leave this sort of legacy every morning. But I'm polite enough to flush and turn on the fan!
Maybe Walmart is hiring. Dr Hovey's style seems to fit their management practices. Now, if we can only find work for Mr. Alejandre at Enron or Arthur Anderson...
