From tract homes in Chapman Heights to business windows on Yucaipa Blvd. to rural properties in Calimesa, signs are starting to go up in the community.
If you live or own a business in Yucaipa or Calimesa and want to show that you care about Yucaipa and Calimesa attracting and retaining quality teachers please stop by the YCEA office to pick up a sign to display in your yard or at your business.

Here's something we can all do:
Let's keep a list of businesses who display our signs on this blog. Then let's make a point of stopping in and thanking the owner/manager for their support. We need to support the businesses that are supporting us. If we do more business with our supporters, we may gain more support within the business community. Maybe someone from YCEA could talk to the Chamber of Commerce?
I'll buy dinner to whomever gets a sign put up a Yucaipa Valley Engineering.
Good idea. I would certainly be more inclined to support a business that supported us.
Maybe the District will retaliate by printing its own yard signs that say:
We believe teachers are WAY overpaid and lazy.
Maybe their law firm could help with the verbiage (like they do with the Negotiations Update)
What is the address and phone number of the YCEA office?
YCEA is at 504A Myrtlewood in Calimesa, next door to Johnnie's Broasted Chicken. The phone number is (909) 795-3320.
I'd love to see this sign in either of the News-Mirror's windows!
It's interesting how money and the pursuit of money corrupts so many. Obviously, people on both sides of this negotiation battle have become corrupt. I see no comments on this Blog about the well being and education of the children of Yucaipa/Calimesa. I can only assume that when all concerned (teachers, administrators and board members) came into the field of education it was to positively impact the lives and education of the children in their charge. The corruption, it seems to me, is that all concerned have lost sight of this.
To settle any disagreement, those on both sides must attempt to see the other's point of view. The polarization I read on this blog indicates this is not happening on either side.
In the end, it will not matter the amount of money you earn this year, last year or into the future. In the end, the way you handled yourself through this disagreement will be remembered. This blog is not evidence of any attempt to leave a lasting positive memory.
